'Last Dance' is a project conceptualized for my introductory studio lighting class at Ryerson University. The goal of 'Last Dance' is to inspire feelings of nostalgia and triumph by giving the subjects an opportunity to re-visit the outfits they wore to prom or any other high-school graduation. As many people often don't find another use for their elaborate graduation outfits, I found this project an opportunity to explore ways that their tastes may have changed or remained the same. While subjects were asked to wear the same clothes they wore to prom, they were allowed to style the rest of the outfit, including hair and makeup, however they wished. Additionally, I coordinated the background and lighting choices to their outfits as a chance to explore different lighting setups to match the overall tone of the image.
